Service Type: Early Learning Centre (ELC registered for 59 places)
Overview
We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Director/2IC to support the leadership and daily operations of our Farrar ELC. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow your leadership skills while making a meaningful impact in a high-quality, child-focused environment.
What You’ll Do
- Provide pedagogical leadership and support continuous learning for staff
- Foster strong relationships with families and the community
- Lead the development and implementation of engaging, inclusive programs
- Ensure compliance with the National Quality Framework and regulatory requirements
- Assist with staff management including recruitment, rosters, and performance
- Uphold and review centre philosophy, policies, and procedures
- Promote a safe, welcoming, and high-quality learning environment
What You Need
- Minimum ACECQA recognised Diploma level in Early Childhood Education
- At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role
- Strong knowledge of EYLF, NQS, and Education & Care Services National Regulations
- Understanding of Occupational Safety & Health
- Computer literacy and administrative capability
- Excellent communication and team-building skills
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications
- Valid Working with Children Check (OCHRE Card)
As part of our commitment to child safety, all successful candidates are required to provide a satisfactory National Police Clearance issued within the last six months. This must be submitted prior to commencing employment.
