Surveyors – Civils, Earthworks, SMP
DIDO & FIFO Opportunities
A well regarded surveying and construction services provider is seeking Surveyors with experience in civil construction, earthworks, SMP, and ideally 3D laser scanning and point cloud processing. We also welcome overseas applicants who bring strong overseas set-out experience and are keen to gain exposure to major Australian civil and mining projects.
If you have proven survey capability, confidence working on active sites, and strong technical skills coupled with good people skills and a solutions based attitude, we want to hear from you.

About the Role
You will support engineering and construction teams on a range of projects, with responsibilities that may include:
* Civil earthworks set-out (batters, pads, drainage, alignments)
* SMP set-out and verification across structural, mechanical & piping scopes
* Establishing and maintaining survey control networks
* As-built surveys, conformance checks, and QA reporting
* 3D laser scanning (preferred but not essential)
* Processing point cloud data for QA, clash detection, and deliverables
* Collaboration with engineers, supervisors, and project managers
* Opportunities to gain experience in UAV surveys, monitoring, and locating depending on project demand

What We're Looking For
Essential Experience
* Practical site set-out experience in civil, earthworks, SMP, or industrial environments
* Strong technical capability with Leica Total Stations and GNSS
* Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and construction models
* Understanding of spatial control and project QA requirements
* Reliable work ethic and strong communication skills
Highly Desirable
(Not essential but will be viewed favourably)
* 3D laser scanning experience (Leica, Trimble, or similar)
* Point cloud processing skills in Cyclone, Trimble RealWorks, ReCap, or similar platforms
* Experience producing 3D models, clash checks, or scan-to-CAD/BIM deliverables
Requirements
* Degree/Diploma in Surveying OR equivalent practical set-out experience
* White Card
* Driver's licence
* Ability to pass pre-employment medicals and D&A screening
