Graduate Midwifery Program 2026 — Werribee Mercy Hospital
Graduate Midwifery Program 2026 is a structured, 12‐month, fixed‐term, part‐time program commencing in May 2026. The program supports the transition from student to Registered Midwife within a supportive and welcoming environment, offering a comprehensive orientation, paid professional development days, and debriefing sessions backed by a dedicated learning team. Upon successful completion, participants receive a certificate of completion.
Eligibility
Applicants must be registered with the Postgraduate Medical Council of Victoria Computer Matching Service and have been unsuccessful in matching with a health service. Applicants must also be registered as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
Required Documents
* Letter of application stating preferred hospital location, areas of clinical interest, preferred rotations, rationale for choice and future career plans
* Two‐page Curriculum Vitae, including relevant experience and clinical rotations
* Certified copy of academic transcripts to date (including 'key to results')
* Two recent and certified acute summative clinical appraisals
* Career intention statement
* Two clinical referees
Additional Evidence Required
* Current Police Record Check and Working with Children Check
* Proof of current influenza vaccination and other vaccination status consistent with public health orders
