Ref: 206681 Locums required for SA Virtual Emergency Service | Virtual Care Telehealth | Metro opportunity Metropolitan SA
Responsibilities
* The SA Virtual Emergency Service (SAVES) operates every evening between 7pm and 7am giving virtual ED support to 33 rural hospitals. SAVES doctors conduct each shift from the RDWA offices at Mile End.
* Supported hospitals can refer category 3 to 5 presentations for telephone and video consultation with a SAVES GP. Patient records are managed through Sunrise EMR, with consult orders referred to SAVES and a follow up phone call from the originating site to initiate a consultation.
* The SAVES facility has VC equipment to dial into all supported hospital emergency departments. Progress notes for the emergency presentations are entered directly into Sunrise. In the instance a patient requires face-to-face review, local on-call GPs are available to attend as needed. An orientation to the service is provided either prior to the first shift or at the start of a scheduled session. This will typically take 4 hours.
