Principal Process Engineer – Hydromet and Comminution About the Project We are proud to be partnering with Stantec – Energy & Resources to deliver the study for a world-class gold project in South East Asia. This large-scale greenfield development is progressing through its Definitive Feasibility Study (DFS), with early works and execution phases to follow.
The project presents the complexities typical of a major gold and copper development in the region:
Comminution and hydrometallurgical processing central to gold and copper recovery
Remote location requiring efficient, reliable, and environmentally responsible process solutions
Study outcomes that must generate a defensible Class 3 estimate and inform execution readiness
Strong interfaces across process, civil, mechanical, electrical, and project controls teams
About the Role The Process Engineer will support development of the process plant design, with emphasis on comminution and hydrometallurgical methods. Responsibilities include:
Preparing study-level process flow diagrams, mass balances, and design criteria
Supporting comminution circuit design (crushing and grinding) and integrating test work results into the process flowsheet
Contributing to hydrometallurgical circuits including leaching, solution purification, solid‑liquid separation, and reagent management
Preparing preliminary equipment lists, datasheets, and inputs for Class 3 estimating
Assisting with test work programs and integrating laboratory or pilot data into study deliverables
Providing input into risk reviews, environmental/regulatory compliance, and water management considerations
Coordinating with other engineering disciplines to ensure process interfaces are accurate and constructible
About You We are seeking a process engineer with:
Experience in gold, copper, or similar metals processing, including comminution and hydrometallurgy
Knowledge of crushing, grinding, and leaching systems, and how they affect downstream recovery
Prior exposure to PFS/DFS deliverables for mining or metallurgical projects
Ability to prepare defensible process documentation and design inputs for estimating teams
Awareness of regulatory/environmental factors relating to leach reagents, effluents, and tailings
Robust collaboration skills across multi-discipline study teams
