What are we looking for?
With a long term government contract already locked in, and a number of exciting opportunities arising to participate in some of Victoria's biggest infrastructure projects to date, we are looking for the support of a Safety, Environment & Quality Manager who wants to be involved in the complete project life cycle.
What do we need from you?
The successful Safety, Environment & Quality Manager will be involved in the continued success of our Barwon South West region. Delivering maintenance and minor construction projects, this will be a great opportunity to lead from the front with great internal support, taking a safety first approach. You will be expected to mentor and develop workplace safety culture, develop and review IMS processes from the ground up and build an environment where all team members are around all aspects of safety, on and off site.
As a SEQ Manager, you will:
• Work as part of the Fulton Hogan SEQ and Barwon South West leadership team to achieve the performance and aspirations of the division.
• Promote and support Fulton Hogan's Living Safely culture.
• Proactively champion, promote and lead health, safety and environmental in line with the company standards and procedures, both internally and across our subcontractor network.
• Ensure consultation arrangements are implemented and actively utilised to ensure all members of workgroups have an opportunity to contribute and outcomes and feedback are provided promptly.
• Provide internal reporting and external client reporting to a high level and within required timeframes.
• Monitor and support required monitoring and inspection and auditing activities to the business.
• Coordinate locally safety and environmental training needs.
• Monitor compliance with required systems and provide coaching and guidance on application where required.
• Analyse data for reported injuries, incidents and near misses and conduct investigations.
How you'll connect to the role:
• Certificate IV or tertiary qualifications in OHS
• 5+ years' experience in a similar position in the civil/construction/ /infrastructure maintenance.
• Ability to develop a good rapport with staff, road crews and client representatives.
• Understanding of Environmental management strategies.
• Understanding of cultural heritage management and protection strategies.
