The Role
OCTIEF, part of ALS Global, operates a NATA-accredited laboratory offering asbestos analysis services and currently has a vacancy for a full-time Laboratory Technician. This is a hands-on role preparing and analysing asbestos samples in a fast-paced environment, with full training provided.
The Day to Day:
Accurately register and assign samples in the LIMS systemPrepare samples for asbestos analysis and operate microscopesEnter results and generate Certificates of AnalysisPerform general administration (scanning, photocopying, sorting, filing)Maintain laboratory cleanliness and conduct stocktakingWork collaboratively with your team and support other tasks as requested
The Essentials:
Strong attention to detail and organisational skillsAbility to meet deadlines in a high-volume environmentExcellent verbal and written communication skillsExperience with MS Office suiteCurrent valid driver's licenceWillingness to undergo Working with Children, Criminal, and Employment health checks
