Type : Full-Time Term : Ongoing Position Details Finance Officer – Payables The role of Finance Officer (Payables) at Mother Teresa Catholic College is part of the Finance team. The Finance Officer (Payables) works as part of a team to ensure the accurate and timely completion of financial processing and administration tasks. The role is responsible for the day-to-day running of the accounts payable functions of the College, amongst other clerical duties. The Finance Officer is accountable to the Business Manager, with the Accountant assisting with day-to-day supervision. Selection Criteria • 2 years’ experience in a similar role. • Intermediate Excel skills (and competency in Microsoft Office), plus familiarity with accounting systems. • Excellent communication skills – both written and verbal. • Strong attention to detail. • Accurate data entry skills. • Excellent interpersonal skills. • Ability to work autonomously and in a busy team. • Effective time management. • Initiative and ability to honestly consistently carry out self-evaluation of all aspects of their role. • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality. Qualifications Required • Accounting or bookkeeping qualifications or relevant/equivalent financial and administrative work experience in a mid-to-large sized organisation. • Accreditation to Work in a Catholic School (or working towards). • Eligibility to obtain a current National Police History Check and Working with Children Check.
