Design & Build have been engaged by one of WA’s leading Civil construction companies to find them a high performing Senior Site Surveyor for their office in the northern suburbs. Our client are a family owned business with a strong reputation in the market based on a foundation of ethical behavior and a proactive approach to all their project delivery solutions. Suitable candidates for their role will have the below technical experience:
• Direct and conduct surveys in order to establish site boundaries of project sites based on the statutory requirement
• Locating and record infrastructure and services.
• Verify accuracy and assemble survey data of measurements and calculations conducted at survey sites.
• Record the results of surveys
• Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, reports and legal descriptions of surveys
• Conduct site set outs
• Ensure the accurate placement of all survey pegs
• Liaising with local shires and governing bodies as required
• Communicate construction issues to senior management
• Prepare of all data, maps and records and documents related to surveys.
• Prepare, produce and maintain accurate records
• Carry out surveying instrument maintenance as required
• Manage surveying costs and ensure all site activity is carried out accurately on site to avoid duplicates or reworks.
To be considered for this role is is essential you have the below Qualifications/Software exposure:
• Qualification in surveying
• Minimum of 3 years Perth metro surveying experience (Ideally within subdivisions)
• Solid understanding of AutoCAD or similar drafting software
• Working experience of MS Office
• Excellent knowledge and understanding in the use of survey equipment and instruments (i.e. Total Stations).
• Knowledge of relevant Federal and State legislation.
• Good understanding of Government and Utility requirements in relation to surveying documentation.
