This role will perform scientific analyses in the areas of Transfusion Medicine, Haematology, Chemical Pathology, and components of Microbiology and Molecular Diagnostics, and provide independent scientific judgement in the interpretation of test results for the provision of advice to the clinical unit where appropriate.

We value diverse candidates and your need for adjustments will not affect our hiring decisions.Key competencies (role specific criteria)Demonstrated knowledge and skill in the provision of diagnostic testing and clinical interpretation of results within a large multi-disciplinary laboratory.Demonstrated ability to participate in a multidisciplinary team and contribute a range of diagnostic skills relevant to the discipline.Demonstrated ability to apply established principles to a multidiscipline service with provision of results and clinical advice in a client focused manner.Demonstrated ability (or ability to rapidly acquire the skill) to identify, develop and implement quality and service improvement activities in accordance with NATA/ISO accreditation / certification.Qualifications, registrations, and other requirementsThe successful applicant must hold at least a tertiary degree qualification in Medical Laboratory Science (or equivalent) from a recognised university or tertiary institution.Actively participate in operational requirements of the laboratory with participation across all areas including weekend shifts, evening shifts and may include continuous shift rosters providing 24 hour/7 days per week service delivery as required.Please detail any visa conditions you may have if you are not a permanent resident of Australia.We understand that some people may require adjustments to the workplace or the way the work is performed.
