This is a Recruitment Pool for Permanent Full Time / Part Time and Fixed Term Full Time / Part Time appointments. Fixed Term appointments will be made with the possibility of extension(s) and/or permanency.

Suitable applicants will be placed in a pool from which appointments may be made when similar vacancies occur until 28 June 2026.

What is our Clinical Nurse role?

This position, under the direction of the relevant Senior Registered Nurse(s), practises as a Clinical Nurse in keeping with the Australian Nursing and Midwifery Board Registration Standards and Nursing Practice Decision Making Flowchart; provides advanced, comprehensive and evidence-based nursing care to patients as part of a multidisciplinary team; upholds and functions within the core values of the organisation of Care, Respect, Innovation, Teamwork & Integrity; acts as a role‑model, providing leadership, support, team building and change‑management through respect, recognition and collaboration.

Home Link is a nursing service based at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital (SCGH) providing hospital substitution services. The service can access all multidisciplinary community services to help support early discharge from hospital.

Home Link provides a wide range of acute nursing care to enable hospital treatment to occur in the home environment. These include:

* IV antibiotic therapy
* Drain management
* Complex wound management
* Stoma therapy management
* Trial of voids

Services are delivered in the patient's home or in the Home Link Treatment area in C Block.

Area Profile

SCGH is one of Australia's leading teaching tertiary hospitals. Located at the Queen Elizabeth II Medical Centre 4km from Perth city centre, SCGH provides a comprehensive range of clinical services including trauma, emergency and critical care, orthopaedics, general medicine, general surgery, and cardiac care. It is home to WA's only comprehensive cancer centre – the largest cancer treatment centre in the State – and is the State's principal hospital for neurosurgery and liver transplants.
