Australian Veteran Health Services (AVHS) is seeking a reliable and adaptable Enrolled Nurse/Receptionist to join our team in Daw Park. This is a dual role combining clinical nursing duties with frontline reception and administrative support. You'll be the first point of contact for veterans, playing an important role in delivering calm, organised and compassionate care.
About the role
In this stand-alone role, you will support smooth daily clinic operations by balancing clinical observations and basic procedures with reception and administration duties. This is a role suited to someone who is confident, organised, and comfortable switching between patient‐facing clinical tasks and administrative workflows.
Key responsibilities include:
Clinical support (within EN scope):
Completing routine clinical observations and accurately recording them in Best Practice
Assisting with basic procedures such as ECGs, spirometry and urinalysis
Escalating abnormal findings in line with established clinical pathways
Supporting stock control, equipment checks, and infection control processes
Reception & administration:
Welcoming veterans and visitors in a warm, professional manner
Managing incoming calls, booking appointments, recalls and follow‐ups
Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation
Processing Medicare and DVA billings with attention to detail
Providing transcription and general administrative support as required
About you
You are an experienced, confident and dependable Enrolled Nurse who enjoys contributing to a non-acute, clinical environment. You are calm under pressure, comfortable with responsibility, and take pride in doing things properly.

Current AHPRA registration as an Enrolled Nurse
Experience performing clinical observations and basic procedures
Strong administrative and customer service capability
High‐level written and verbal communication skills
Confidence using electronic medical record systems
Ability to manage competing priorities with flexibility
Ability to work autonomously
Confident with Best Practice Management Software
Experience in general practice, primary care or a specialty clinic
Experience working with veterans or an interest in veteran health
