Responsibilities
- Be the primary relationship owner and contact for NSW, ACT, and WA, covering all Power System products including Bussmann fuses, MV switchgear, Ring Main Units, Voltage Regulators, Capacitors, Overhead Switchgear and Substation Automation.
- Set out and execute a clear sales strategy to grow Eaton’s market share and ensure a diverse portfolio mix.
- Selling, pricing, and promoting the Utility product portfolio to meet and exceed KPIs (order, sales, margin).
- Lead generation: identify and prospect new business opportunities through networking, cold calling, and industry events.
- Support the Product Manager to ensure technical requirements are understood for future tenders and to identify Eaton’s technical advantages or required development.
- Prepare and present compelling proposals and presentations tailored to prospective customers.
- Lead contract negotiations and secure mutually beneficial agreements aligned with company objectives.
- Monitor market trends, competitive landscape, and conditions to identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing, product management, project management, and engineering to ensure a seamless customer experience.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities and pipeline management using Salesforce.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in power engineering sales, preferably in a medium or high voltage environment.
- Technical electrical engineering skills are preferred; experience with ANZ Energy Utilities is required.
- Tertiary or trade qualification in electrical and/or mechanical engineering is desired.
- Excellent communication skills with a consultative approach and a growth mindset toward problem solving.
