About the position
The HSE Specialist partners closely with the HSE Manager and is critical in advancing Brockman's HSE commitments, practices and knowledge through:
* Fostering a positive HSE culture
* Training and coaching employees in the best use of company systems, procedures, and processes
* Delivering improvements in compliance and risk reduction
* Processes to drive the HSE performance of the business
The HSE Specialist assists, supports and leads in all facets of Brockman HSE including:
* HSE Management System
* Event and incident investigations
* Training
* HSE support
* Audits and inspections

What we're looking for
To best support your growth and ours, we're looking for candidates who possess:
* Minimum Diploma-level qualification in Health and Safety
* Preferred 5 years' experience in heavy industry (construction, petrochemical, mining) or 1-5 years' experience in manufacturing environment
* Minimum Train the Trainer, with willingness to upgrade to Cert IV Education and Vocational Assessment
* Trained in Management System Auditing
* Root Cause Analysis Facilitator (ICAM) (desirable)
* Ability to innovate and problem-solve
* High level of computer literacy, including experience creating efficiencies and advancing systems and technology
* A sound ability to extract and interpret data and present statistics
* Strong written and verbal communication skills including the ability to influence and coach
This position requires a current National Police Check (no more than 6 months old), a current driver's licence, and evidence of right to work in Australia.
Location: This position is based in Geelong, VIC. Applicants must reside in or close to Geelong, VIC.
