Overview

About us: The Quality and Safety Division is the behind-the-scenes powerhouse making sure care across CQHHS is safe, effective, and genuinely centred around people. Working side-by-side with clinical teams, they turn data and insights into real improvements that benefit patients, staff, and the whole organisation. From governance and reporting to audits, incidents, and consumer feedback, the team keeps a close eye on whats happening—and more importantly, what can be better. They champion a "learn from everything" mindset (the good and the not-so-good), drive continuous improvement, and support staff with the tools, education, and know-how to deliver top-quality care every day. In short: theyre the go-to partners helping teams lift standards, strengthen culture, and keep care moving forward.

About the role: The Quality Improvement Officer is the go-to person for keeping quality and safety on track across CQ Health. From rolling out standards and policies to tracking how were performing, they help turn the NSQHS Standards into real, everyday practice—supporting compliance, reporting, data insights, and service improvements across all sites. Theyre also the ultimate all-rounder—pulling together reports, supporting stakeholders, helping deliver training, and pitching in to improve systems and processes. Simply put, they help the organisation work smarter, safer, and better every day.

About you
* You hold an Allied Health qualification from a registered tertiary institution. Along with this, you hold appropriate registration with AHPRA or professional membership with the relevant association within Australia.
* You're all about delivering safe, high-quality, person-centred care, keeping things running smoothly through strong planning, teamwork, and know-how. You help keep standards on track, contribute to policies and improvements, and work closely with others to support safe practice.
* You stay curious—building your own skills while helping others learn and grow—and get involved in audits, quality improvement, and bringing evidence into everyday practice.
* Bottom line: you're a team player who communicates well, leads by example, and helps create a positive, safety-first culture.
