The Role
Looking for a rewarding career supporting people living with a disability? The Right Place Disability Services is seeking compassionate and dedicated Disability Support Workers_ to join our team in a casual role.
You will play a vital role in empowering individuals to live independently, achieve their goals, and participate actively in their communities. You will also assist with client intake, assessments, and daily tasks, helping to deliver tailored care within a team that values making a real impact in the community.
Previous experience supporting people with disability is an advantage. Robust communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients. Patience, empathy, and a genuine desire to make a positive difference in the lives of others. A commitment to upholding the rights, dignity, and autonomy of people with disabilities.
Essential Requirements
* Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability) or a related qualification is highly valued, but not essential.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check (NDISWC), or willingness to obtain one.
* Working With Children Check (WWCC), valid in NSW.
* Unrestricted Australian working rights.
* Current driver's license and access to a reliable, registered vehicle.
* Current First Aid and CPR certification (must be valid).
* Proof of three COVID-19 vaccinations.
* Current influenza vaccination (updated annually).
