Gidgee Healing is seeking a passionate and experienced Nukal Murra Manager to lead the delivery of our integrated chronic disease care program. About the Role
The Nukal Murra Manager is responsible for the strategic and operational leadership of the Nukal Murra program – a culturally safe, community‑led model supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people living with chronic disease. You will manage a small dedicated team and ensure the delivery of high‑quality, coordinated care that reflects the values and needs of the community.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage the day‑to‑day operations of the Nukal Murra program.
* Supervise and support the Carelink team in delivering culturally safe care coordination.
* Oversee the coordination of specialist and allied health services for Integrated Team Care (ITC) clients.
* Build strong relationships with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities, Elders, and partner organisations.
* Ensure compliance with clinical governance, funding and reporting requirements.
* Drive continuous improvement and culturally responsive service delivery.
What Were Looking For
* Tertiary qualifications in Health, Community Services, Indigenous Health or a related field.
* Proven leadership experience in Aboriginal health or community programmes.
* Deep understanding of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health culture and community dynamics.
* Strong communication, stakeholder engagement and advocacy skills.
* Experience with client management systems (e.g. Communicare) and programme reporting.
Other Requirements
* Current C Class Driver's Licence (QLD)
* Satisfactory police check and Blue Card (or willingness to obtain)
* Willingness to travel to remote communities and work flexibly
