We are seeking a dedicated Disability Support Worker to join our team and work with a young person living with Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and an Intellectual Disability.
This is a rewarding opportunity to support daily living tasks, personal care, and life skills development through structured support and skill-building.
Key Responsibilities:
* Support daily living tasks and personal care.
* Assist with emotional regulation using strategies from participant's Positive Behaviour Support Plan.
* Encourage social interaction, communication development, and participation in activities.
* Collaborate with therapists, family, and our team to deliver high-quality support.
* Maintain accurate records of progress, behaviour observations, and daily notes.
About You
You bring a strong understanding of disability support and behaviour management, working with children and confident working with individuals with complex needs.
Someone calm, caring, and committed to making a real difference will make the perfect fit for this role.
Requirements:
* Reside in Mandurah and/or surrounding suburbs.
* Experience working with children and young adults with Autism, ADHD, or intellectual disabilities.
* Understanding of Positive Behaviour Support (PBS) practices.
* Strong interpersonal and de-escalation skills.
* Ability to assist in meal preparation.
* Patience, consistency, and ability to build rapport and trust.
* NDIS Worker Screening Check.
* Working with Children Check.
* First Aid & CPR certification.
* Valid driver's licence and a reliable, insured vehicle.
