We are seeking a motivated Graduate Environment & Sustainability Officer to join our team at ADG. This role supports the delivery of ADG's environmental and sustainability objectives through operational monitoring, data management, stakeholder engagement, and implementation of initiatives that drive continuous improvement in environmental performance across ADG-managed assets.
Working closely with the Environment & Sustainability Manager, you will contribute to strategic goals and collaborate with internal teams, contractors, and tenants to embed sustainable practices across our operations.
About the Position
Your responsibilities will include conducting environmental inspections and audits, managing compliance reporting, supporting carbon accounting activities, and contributing to land management and ecological monitoring programs. This position also involves assisting with sustainability campaigns, maintaining accurate environmental data, and engaging with Indigenous stakeholders to promote culturally informed land stewardship.
The role requires some travel to ADG-managed locations, to support environmental operations as our portfolio expands.
Selection Criteria
To be successful in this role, you will hold tertiary qualifications in Environmental Science, Sustainability, or a related discipline and demonstrate a sound understanding of environmental legislation, sustainability principles, and land management practices. Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as is the ability to manage environmental data accurately using systems such as Microsoft Excel, GIS, and SharePoint. You will be capable of working independently across multiple sites and have experience in environmental auditing or compliance monitoring.
A current NT driver's licence is required, along with the ability to obtain an Airside Driving Authority (ADA) and eligibility to hold an Aviation Security Identification Card, including passing an Australian Federal Police check.
Desirable attributes include experience in airport operations or infrastructure environments, familiarity with ISO 14001 and environmental auditing, and knowledge of carbon accounting and emissions data collection for Scope 1, 2, and 3. Understanding of the Airports Act and Airports (Environment Protection) Regulations, experience working with government regulators, and knowledge of Indigenous land management practices will be highly regarded.
