**CARETAKER - GENERAL ASSISTANT**:
- 25_ hrs per week - Afternoons_
- Commencing 20 January 2025_
**Responsibilities include**:
- Maintain cleanliness of college grounds and outdoor facilities
- Meet deliveries and distribute parcels, boxes and incoming supplies to/from the relevant locations
- Set up for college assemblies, functions and other activities
- General cleaning and washing down of facilities
- Collect, empty and clean bins
- Secure all buildings and site at end of day
- General gardening & weeding
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance
- Regularly inspect and maintain general equipment
- Coordinate and liaise with external contractors for specialised maintenance projects
- Adhere to safety policies to create a safe working environment for everyone
**Essential Criteria**
Successful applicants for the position will have:
- a current Working with Children Check.
- a current drivers' licence.
- an interest and/or experience in the outdoors, grounds maintenance and/or facilities management.
- a keen eye for detail to ensure that the grounds and facilities are maintained and well presented
- a proactive and positive "can do" attitude.
**Desirable**:
- relevant certificate or trade qualifications.
- appropriate demonstrated experience in school operations.
Responsibilities include maintaining clean and safe grounds, setting up spaces for school events, and ensuring that tools and equipment comply with safety standards
