Due to our continued growth, we are seeking to add another skilled, accomplished and enthusiastic Senior Fire Systems Technician to put their stamp on how Fire System services are delivered to our clients.
What you will be doing
You will have experience in undertaking testing of the following as per AS1851:
- Performing comprehensive testing of fire alarm systems, fire sprinkler systems, gas systems and other fire safety measures as required by AS1851-2012 (Monthly, 6 monthly & Annual etc)
- Conducting regular inspections and generating detailed reports to document the condition and functionality of fire protection systems
- Providing technical support and guidance to FPS staff, ensuring their full understanding of AS1851 requirements and best practices
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development
- Troubleshooting and resolving any issues of essential fire measures as required
- Ability to use UPTICK
- Adhering to all WHS requirements for the company and each client site as directed
- Conduct or assist in maintenance to essential fire systems
You will be able to demonstrate your ability to work as part of a team, and are customer focused. The role will require you to work autonomously in a high-volume workplace.
What we are looking for
- A minimum of 4 years’ experience as a fire systems technician/tester
- Comprehensive knowledge of AS1851, fire alarms, sprinklers, extinguishers, hose reels, fire doors, and related equipment
- Proven ability to test, inspect, and maintain fire safety systems in line with Australian Standards
- Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- A current driver’s licence
- Certificate II or III in Fire Protection Inspection and Testing
- A valid White Card
- Sprinkler Fitter Tradesman qualification (highly desirable)
