About the Role
As the Coordinator of Wardandi Wanil Arts Centre, you will oversee daily operations and lead artist development programs, exhibitions, and events. This role involves collaboration, community engagement, and supporting local artists in a culturally safe environment.
Responsibilities
* Manage operations, budget, and strategy of the Centre
* Facilitate programming with the Advisory Body and Elders
* Oversee artist studios, exhibitions, sales, and merchandise
* Mentor artists, provide curatorial support, and give artwork feedback
* Build partnerships and secure funding through grants and sponsorships
* Handle artist payments, contracts, and administrative tasks
* Develop relationships with galleries, institutions, and community partners
* Supervise and mentor staff and volunteers
* Ensure cultural protocols are respected and integrated
About You
This is a 50(d) identified role, open to Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants only. You are passionate about arts, culture, and community, with leadership skills and experience in managing projects and creating inclusive spaces.
Qualifications and Skills
* Experience or qualification in arts, community development, or related field
* Leadership and project coordination experience in arts or community settings
* Understanding of Aboriginal art, culture, and protocols
* Excellent communication and management skills
* Experience with grants, budgeting, and reporting
* Current Driver's Licence and Police Clearance
