- Analysis and modelling of data;
- Solution development and design;
- Source, clean and manipulate data to create features to be leveraged in fraud and scams detection;
- Act as owner of fraud detection models, including maintaining governance of these models within NAB’s policies;
- Use visual analytics to present new insights into trends; and
- Act as an advanced analytics mentor to colleagues within the Fraud Prevention & Detection team.

**Key Accountabilities**:

- Ownership and governance of Fraud Prevention & Detection’s models, with a clear plan to improve these models to better protect our customers and the bank
- Identify opportunities to improve detection across the variety of fraud types
- Stay up to date in the latest data science innovation and find opportunities to share and leverage this knowledge
- Maintain and grow relationships with our fraud technology team, NAB data science colleagues and our fraud system vendors
- Improvement in prevention & detection strategies to meet and exceed our annual targets for loss, customer experience and detection performance
- Demonstrated leadership and involvement in initiatives that help reduce fraud and improve customer experience
- Identify and manage fraud risks
- Governance ownership and accountability for fraud risks, controls, models and audit items
- Ensure all work is performed in accordance with the requirements of the health & safety policies procedures & legislation.
- To conform with all relevant internal operating policies & procedures
- Provide qualified and ethical behaviour in your actions by ensuring compliance with bank standards, internal operating policies and procedures
- Demonstrated understanding of fraud threats and shifts in trends within our business
- Contribution to the delivery of goals in-line with the Group Investigations and Fraud strategy

***What you will bring**:

- 6+ years technology related experience
- 3+ years’ experience in an analytics related role where data science methodologies were applied
- Demonstrated understanding of financial crime detection
- Demonstrated education and/or qualifications in data science
- Previous experience in building new capabilities and evolving existing technology capabilities
- Experience in creating and maintaining governance of models, changes and identified risks
- Experience in financial crime detection or credit risk analytics
- Experience working in a financial institution
