As a Senior Civil Engineer in our Adelaide team, you'll lead the design and delivery of complex, multi‐disciplinary projects across major transport programs for DIT, the energy transition, and defence estate and capability upgrades. You'll scope and steer civil works from concept through detailed design and construction support, coordinate inputs from roads, drainage, utilities and pavements, and bring a pragmatic eye for buildability, safety and whole‐of‐life performance.
You'll be a trusted advisor to clients and partners—facilitating workshops, de‐risking decisions, and shaping clear, compliant deliverables—while mentoring our emerging engineers and championing digital design and quality standards.

What you'll do:
* Partner with internal stakeholders and a collaborative, national team in a multidisciplinary engineering setting.
* Solve complex engineering challenges in a fast‐paced, collaborative environment—bringing innovative thinking to projects that shape South Australia's future.
* Lead and deliver civil design across diverse sectors, from major transport programs for DIT to energy transition infrastructure and defence upgrades.
* Work across multiple business units, partnering with specialists in structures, geotechnics, water, and sustainability to deliver integrated solutions.
* Drive technical excellence and buildability, ensuring designs meet client objectives, safety standards, and whole‐of‐life performance.
* Engage directly with clients and stakeholders, facilitating workshops, de‐risking decisions, and providing clear, actionable advice.
* Mentor and develop emerging engineers, fostering a culture of learning and innovation within the team.
* Champion digital tools and quality systems, leveraging technology to improve efficiency and outcomes.
About You:
* Bachelor to Masters' level degree (Civil Engineering)
* Chartered status with Engineers Australia (desirable)
* Solid industry experience on Australian or New Zealand civil engineering projects in a consulting environment
* Well versed in effectively delivering multiple, concurrent projects ranging in scale and sector (e.g. commercial, residential, industrial, land development, subdivisions and infrastructure/roads)
* Strong client relationship management and project management skills
* Sound working knowledge of relevant Standards and Codes (AS/NZS 3500, NCC etc.)
* Proficiency with 12D and Civil 3D (desirable but not essential)
* Highly developed customer‐focus, leadership, teamwork, interpersonal and communication (written and verbal) skills
* Drainage software experience preferred
