Responsibilities
Located at Air Combat Systems Program Office (ACSPO) at RAAF Base Williamtown, the Deputy Project Manager is part of a diverse team responsible for delivering excellence in project governance and controls. This position is responsible for managing a range of project activities and coordinating project inputs in accordance with organisational practices, methods and standards appropriate to the complexity of the project, and will manage a highly capable, dynamic team in a complex environment.

About Our Team
ACSPO organisationally sits in the Aerospace Combat Systems Branch in CASG, within the Department of Defence. ACSPO is the aviation asset management in‑service support agency for the Australian F‑35A Lightning II Air System. ACSPO engages with local, regional and international enterprise partners and suppliers of the F‑35 Global program to provide sustainment support for the Capability Manager, the Royal Australian Air Force. ACSPO is based at RAAF Williamtown in NSW and supports the Australian F‑35A Fleet. The F‑35A aircraft are based at RAAF Williamtown and RAAF Tindal in the Northern Territory. The primary focus for ACSPO is governing across the Australian F‑35A Air Combat Capability, including the ongoing management, execution and continuous improvement of the various governance frameworks, processes and procedures. The ACSPO Project Management Unit currently manages a number of Defence Major Capital Equipment projects, including the Acquisition and Modernisation of the F‑35A fleet and establishment of related facilities.
