Position Summary
The role of the Malpa (meaning friend/helper in Pintupi) Administration Assistant with Purple House is to provide administration support to the Malpa management team. The Administration Assistant key responsibilities are to assist in the administrative and operational tasks of the town and remote teams and participate in the smooth running of the Purple House in Alice Springs.
Malpa is a client facing team where flexibility is key and that requires the Administration Assistant to be adaptable, good natured and resourceful in translating standards and improvement opportunities into best practice.

Our mission is to improve the lives of people with renal failure, reunite families and reduce the impact of kidney disease in our communities. We are run by Aboriginal people for Aboriginal people and work to provide culturally appropriate dialysis services in remote communities, helping people to get home to country and family.

Standard Requirements
* Ability to work in accordance with the values and mission of Purple House (WDNWPT), supporting Aboriginal people living with kidney disease.
* Demonstrated commitment to cultural respect and culturally appropriate service delivery.
* Compliance with Work Health and Safety (WHS) policies and procedures, including reporting hazards, incidents, and near misses.
* Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism when handling client and organisational information.
* Willingness to work flexibly and support both town and remote teams as required.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and contribute to organisational planning and improvement activities.
* Commitment to maintaining accurate administrative records and documentation in line with organisational policies.
* Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders.
Functions (Key Responsibilities)
* Maintain organisational records – provide assistance in maintaining Malpa town and remote client records and data entry.
* Support Malpa Manager and remote sites with Aged Care Quality audits including continuous quality improvement, policies and procedures, documentation and records.
* Provide high quality customer service at Purple House Flynn Drive, including answering phones and responding to general enquiries.
* Assist with ordering stores and filling and dispatching stores to the required Purple House sites.
* Maintain assets as per Purple House policies and procedures.
* Participate in organisational planning, implementation and evaluation activities.
* Support the Malpa town and remote team with coordination and record keeping at staff and client meetings
* Oversee Malpa fleet management in collaboration with the Fleet and Assets Team, including vehicle allocation, maintenance, servicing, compliance, and acting as the key contact for fleet matters.
* Support the Malpa Manager and Risk and WHS Coordinator by reporting hazards, assisting with follow-up actions, and contributing to a safe work environment.
* Coordinate and organise donated goods, including maintaining orderly storage
* Demonstrate a courteous and respectful manner and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
* Promote a safe work environment in accordance with legislative requirements, adheres to Work Health Safety guidelines, and reports all incidents and near misses.
* Other duties as required.
Qualifications
* Certificate III in Business Administration or higher or demonstrated equivalent experience.
* Advanced skills with Microsoft Office suite and databases
* Ability to prioritise and manage multiple and competing work tasks and deliver to agreed deadlines.
* Ability to work independently, with limited supervision.
* Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a broad range of people from a variety of backgrounds and experiences.
* Valid Australian drivers' licence
* Experience working for an Indigenous organisation.
