Warehouse Team Leader – E-Commerce Fulfilment
Location: Heatherton, VIC
Reports to: Warehouse Manager
Cooper & Co is a growing business with an expanding warehouse operation supporting both e-commerce fulfilment and major retail customers. Our warehouse team plays a key role in ensuring products are processed accurately, efficiently, and delivered on time.
We are looking for a hands-on Warehouse Team Leader to oversee daily operations within our e-commerce fulfilment area while supporting the wider warehouse operation. This role requires someone who is organised, proactive, and comfortable managing operational pressure in a fast-moving warehouse environment.
The successful candidate will lead a small team while ensuring orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and on time. This is not a desk-based role. The Team Leader will be actively involved on the warehouse floor and will lead by example while supporting the team in daily operations. This role suits someone who enjoys leading from the front and being actively involved in day-to-day warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
* Operational Leadership
* Oversee the daily operations of the e-commerce fulfilment area to ensure orders are processed accurately and dispatched on time.
* Monitor workflow and quickly address operational issues or bottlenecks.
* Ensure warehouse processes and operational standards are consistently followed.
* Maintain high standards of warehouse organisation, safety, and housekeeping.
* Fulfilment Operations
* Coordinate daily picking, packing, and dispatch activities.
* Oversee returns processing and spare parts fulfilment.
* Ensure stock handling accuracy and correct order preparation.
* Manage competing operational priorities and respond quickly to urgent requests.
* Lead and support a team of approximately 4–6 warehouse operators.
* Train and guide team members on warehouse processes and best practices.
* Provide clear direction and ensure team productivity and accountability.
* Lead by example through active participation in daily warehouse operations.
* Communication and Coordination
* Act as the primary operational contact for fulfilment activities within the warehouse.
* Work closely with internal teams to manage priorities and resolve operational issues.
* Ensure clear communication of daily tasks and priorities to the warehouse team.
* Cross-Functional Support
* Support wider warehouse operations when required, including collaboration with other operational areas such as receiving and dispatch.
* Work alongside other team members and team leaders to maintain overall warehouse efficiency.
* Skills and Experience
* Required
* • Previous experience in warehouse operations (2–4 years preferred).
* • Experience supervising or leading warehouse staff.
* • Strong organisational and problem-solving skills.
* • Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
* • Strong communication and team leadership abilities.
* • Hands-on approach to operational work.
* • Valid forklift licence is required
* • Experience in e-commerce fulfilment environments.
* • Experience working with warehouse systems or WMS.
