About the Role
* Commissioning, testing and maintaining HV protection systems/schemes, experience with IEC61850/GOOSE communications.
* HV substations secondary systems and primary plant.
* HV/LV plant/assets.
* Power generation systems.
* Power transformers.
* Provide leadership, supervision, technical support and training to technicians.
* Preparation of commissioning/testing documentation, protection test plans and detailed technical reports upon completion of works.
About You
* Must hold an "A Grade" Electrical Workers License (Fitter and Mechanic).
* Engineering degree or diploma in Power Systems highly regarded.
* Minimum 10 years' experience.
* HV switching ticket preferred.
* Experience with IEC61850 and GOOSE messaging through IED Scout viewed favorably.
* Knowledge of appropriate Australian and international standards.
* Understanding of relevant legislation, policies and procedures.
* Proven ability to meet project quality, schedule and budget requirements.
* Ability to promote a high standard of safety, professionalism and effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
* Proven experience using the Omicron suite of equipment for secondary system testing.
* Power station experience viewed favorably.
