About theRole
TheAnimal Care Attendant is responsible for assisting the AnimalShelter Team to provide care and basic animal health to animalshoused at the shelter such as cleaning and maintaining animalshelter facilities, feeding and watering, bathing and groominganimals under the supervision of the Coordinator AnimalShelter.
AboutYou
Ourideal applicant will have:
* Demonstratedability to verbally and visually identify and describe animals,for instance the colours, sizes and breeds of differentspecies
* Demonstratedexperience in animal care, behaviour & handlingskills
* Ability tolisten, understand and empathise with others
* Ability to workin a fast-paced environment and make basic sound decisionsbased on animal hygiene and welfare.
* Ability to workon a roster as reasonably required including weekends andpublic holidays
* Basic First Aidtraining mandatory
