About the role Are you a passionate and results-driven National Account Manager with proven experience in the FMCG sector? Are you skilled at managing relationships with major retailers such as Coles, Woolworths, and leading online and offline sales channels? Our client is seeking a dynamic professional to drive strategic growth, foster strong retailer partnerships, and lead the charge in sales development across Australia's largest retail chains. As the National Account Manager, you will play a critical role in building and maintaining relationships with key accounts, identifying growth opportunities, and executing tailored strategies that align with the business objectives. You will have the opportunity to manage a diverse portfolio, including brick-and-mortar stores, e-commerce platforms, and B2B channels. Key Responsibilities: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with major retail accounts such as Coles, Woolworths, and JB Hi-Fi, ensuring consistent product availability and category growth. Develop and implement strategies to drive product performance across key sales channels-retail, e-commerce, specialty stores, and professional B2B partnerships. Lead negotiations to secure favorable terms, promotional deals, and joint marketing initiatives with retailers and online platforms. Regularly analyze sales data and market trends to adjust strategies, track KPIs, and ensure alignment with business goals. Work cross-functionally with the marketing, supply chain, and finance teams to ensure product offerings, pricing, promotions, and stock levels are aligned with the market demand. Stay ahead of the competition by gathering insights from retail partners, consumers, and market trends to continually enhance business opportunities. About You: 5 years experience in key account management or similar roles Extensive experience managing large retail accounts, particularly within the FMCG industry, and understand how to tailor strategies across multiple sales channels. You are well-versed in multi-channel retailing, experience in traditional retail, e-commerce platforms (e.g., Amazon, eBay, Coles Online), and B2B channels is a significant advantage. You excel at developing strong, long-lasting relationships with senior decision-makers at major retailers, and you're a master of both negotiating and influencing outcomes. Your analytical skills are top-notch, you use insights from sales data and market intelligence to adjust your approach and optimize performance. A strategic mindset and are comfortable building and executing plans that maximize growth while maintaining profitability. A strong drive to achieve and exceed sales targets, and you thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
