About Our Housing Initiative
We are seeking dedicated professionals to drive positive change for veterans and their families through our Veteran Homelessness Program.
Our program provides high-quality, personalised support to veterans and their families who are at risk of, or currently experiencing, homelessness across Queensland and the Northern Territory.
We have various opportunities available in different locations.
Main Responsibilities
* Planning and delivering safe, compassionate, integrated and holistic homelessness support that prioritises the needs of the veteran and/or their family.
* Fostering active veteran and/or family engagement in the identification, development and implementation of individualised housing goals through tailored case management plans.
* Applying best practice and veteran-centred knowledge and skills to engage, support, and empower veterans and their families to overcome their homelessness barriers and meet their housing needs.
* Providing comprehensive case management services for clients experiencing or at risk of experiencing homelessness.
* Assisting with applications for social and community housing, private rental applications, and tenancy sustainment strategies and support.
Key Qualifications and Experience
* You will hold an undergraduate degree in Human Services, Social Sciences, Health Sciences (or equivalent).
* Experience working in housing and homelessness services, with a strong understanding of relevant policies, support frameworks, and community resources is highly valued.
