What is the position We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Educator Level 1 to join our team. The ideal candidate/s will create engaging and inclusive lesson plans, support student growth, and work collaboratively with staff and students. Eligibility/Other requirements: To be successful in this position you must have the following: MANDATORY QUALIFICATIONS AND/OR REGISTRATIONS/LICENCING Prior to commencing in this role a minimum of four years full time (or equivalent) tertiary study leading to the award of a recognised school teaching qualification; a current full teaching registration with the ACT Teacher Quality Institute (TQI) (or eligibility for teacher registration with the ACT TQI) Prior to commencing this role, a current registration issued under the Working with Vulnerable People (Background Checking) Act 2011 is required. For further information on Working with Vulnerable People registration refer to - Working with vulnerable people (WWVP) registration (act.gov.au) Approved working status – Be an Australian citizen and/or be permanent resident and/or hold a valid working visa. Industry experience DESIRABLE Experience in teaching in an ACT College system within the ACT Board of Senior Secondary Studies College/School. Knowledge and experience of BSSS policy, ACS, and adherence to BSSS policy and procedures. Experience in coordinating such as AST, moderation, certification, and pastoral care programs.
