Project Manager / Engineer (Full‑Time)

Lystek is a technology company specialising in organic materials recovery. The company leverages patented thermal hydrolysis technology to optimise anaerobic digesters and biological nutrient removal systems at wastewater treatment facilities, contributing to waste diversion and environmental sustainability.
Duties and Responsibilities
* Consult with customers, vendors, and internal resources to develop and deliver Lystek solutions.
* Responsible for project execution, ensuring work quality, budget and schedule compliance.
* Prepare and manage project financials and schedules, including monthly progress payments.
* Ensure compliance with OHSA and construction regulations through the Company's OH‑S Management System.
* Mentor and develop Project Coordinators.
* Complete facility design and equipment layouts, engineering estimates and material‑flow projections.
* Initiate and track change orders, prepare RFIs, quotations and RFQ responses.
* Create contract, drawing and specification packages; organise project progress meetings.
* Review vendor packages for conformance with Lystek and project requirements; coordinate quality‑control inspections.
* Develop solutions and proposals to support the Lystek opportunity pipeline; apply proprietary mass‑balance tools.
* Prepare high‑quality customer presentations, technical memos and scopes of work.
* Tender and negotiate subcontracted on‑site works; schedule and coordinate subcontractors.
* Manage on‑site commissioning of new Lystek systems, including operations training.
Working Conditions
* Fast‑paced environment on large, complex projects.
* Project construction site(s) or office setting.
* Long working hours with travel between sites, possible nights and weekends.
* Work under pressure with tight deadlines.
* Exposure to wastewater treatment plants, waste management facilities and construction sites in all seasons.
* Travel expenses paid by employer.
* Physical ability to use stairs, ladders and walk over rough terrain.
Education, Experience & Position Requirements
* University degree in Environmental, Chemical, Mechanical or Civil Engineering.
* Professional Engineer licence in Ontario or Nova Scotia.
* Experience in construction or operating site environments.
* Excellent communication and organisational skills.
* Strong knowledge of construction health and safety requirements.
* Experience with SAP and Autodesk Construction Cloud is an asset.
* Proficient oral and written communication.
* Sound judgement, reliability and organisation.
* Valid full G‑class driver's licence.
* Willingness to work in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders.
