Base pay range
A$110,******/yr - A$140,******/yr
Elecnor has been contracted to build EnergyConnect, a new 700km transmission line extending from Wagga Wagga NSW to the South Australian border.
This backbone infrastructure will connect customers with more renewable energy enabling a further ****MW of generation capacity, save NSW customers $180 million a year and create 1,500 new construction jobs in regional NSW.
Construction of EnergyConnect is underway in various locations across the project area.
The Role
Elecnor Australia has an exciting opportunity for a Planning Engineer to join the team.
As a Planning Engineer, you will work with a diverse multidisciplinary team, cohesively delivering Project EnergyConnect.
In this role, you will provide aspects of technical expertise regarding planning and analysis of project schedule information and assist in the development, updating and reporting against the project schedules.
The role will require clear and concise communication of schedule deviations and impacts to the project management team to ensure early impacts to schedule are highlighted.
Primary Accountabilities
Support the integrated project controls model, ensuring seamless data flow and coding between Primavera P6, Synchro, and Prism.
Assist in developing Tender, Project Execution, and Baseline schedules, including defining WBS/OBS, aligning budgets, and setting up progress tracking metrics.
Analyse and report project performance, including man-hours, progress, variances, and forecast updates.
Develop a strong understanding of project scope, estimates, and commercial frameworks across assigned work packages.
Create clear, visual representations of complex schedules for reports and presentations.
Assist in preparing the Basis of Schedule (BoS), detailing assumptions, sequencing, resources, and critical paths.
Contribute to regular project reporting (daily, weekly, monthly), including progress, productivity, KPIs, dashboards, and schedule risks.
Perform progress updates using time-, quantity-, milestone-, or assessment-based methods as per project requirements.
Participate in planning and review meetings, verifying schedule integrity and identifying key risks and opportunities.
Ensure alignment with Elecnor Australia's project controls, contractual, and reporting standards at all times.
Skills & Experience
5 years' multi discipline project execution planning experience
Experience in Oil & Gas, Mining, Infrastructure, Marine preferred but not essential.
Experienced User of Primavera P6 and in the MS office suite of applications and data management
Understands the principals of physical progress and earned value measurement
A degree or qualification in engineering preferred but not essential
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
