Opportunity
We are seeking enthusiastic and people‐focused Participant Concierges to support the day‐to‐day experience of volunteers taking part in clinical trials. Working within our Clinical Trials team, you will play a key role in ensuring participants feel comfortable, informed, and well supported throughout their stay at our confinement sites.
Reporting to the Clinical Trials Operations Manager, this casual role is ideal for students or early‐career professionals interested in healthcare, research, or clinical operations. You will be part of a collaborative team that values professionalism, empathy, and attention to detail, while contributing to the safe and smooth delivery of important clinical research.
You will
* Deliver pre‐prepared meals and refreshments to participants in line with study protocols and schedules;
* Maintain cleanliness and organisation of communal areas, including dining and recreation spaces;
* Support participant wellbeing through friendly engagement, conversation, and leisure activities;
* Monitor participant comfort and promptly elevate any concerns to clinical or site staff;
* Assist with coordinating recreational and downtime activities to enhance the participant experience; and
* Contribute to a positive, respectful, and well‐managed environment during confinement periods.
About you
You are warm, reliable, and comfortable engaging with a wide range of people. You take pride in creating clean, organised spaces and understand the importance of discretion and professionalism in a clinical setting. You are adaptable, calm under pressure, and enjoy being part of a team that makes a meaningful difference.
This role would suit someone with experience in hospitality, customer service, health, or community settings, or a student interested in building exposure to the clinical trials pathway.
You will possess:
* Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly;
* Demonstrated customer service experience in hospitality, health, or similar environments;
* A professional, empathetic, and discreet approach when working with participants;
* A strong commitment to cleanliness, hygiene, and safety standards;
* The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team; and
* Flexibility and adaptability to suit casual work arrangements.
