We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our team. The successful candidate will work closely with our dentists to provide excellent patient care, educate patients on proper oral hygiene techniques, and participate in community outreach programs.
Responsibilities
We are looking for a professional who can perform the following key responsibilities:
* Provide personalized patient care, assessing dental conditions and needs using established procedures.
* Evaluate overall oral health, identifying signs of periodontal disease or possible cancers.
* Expose, process, and mount radiograph films accurately.
* Document patient information, observations, and reactions to dentists as needed.
* Ensure follow-up on laboratory results and implement treatment plans prescribed by attending dentists.
* Participate in emergency measures during patient treatment and assist with community outreach programs.
* Empathize with patients, making them feel comfortable before, during, and after dental treatment.
* Conduct educational sessions on oral hygiene and dental care for community groups.
* Communicate effectively with diverse patient populations and demonstrate commitment to the organization's mission.
* Maintain accurate patient records and administrative documentation.
* Utilize necessary tools, systems, technology, and equipment in data collection and record management.
Qualifications
To be considered for this position, candidates must have:
* A degree from an accredited dental hygienist program.
* A current NJ State Registered Dental Hygienist license.
* CPR and radiation safety certification.
* Prioritization of local anesthesia certification is beneficial.
