About The Role
The contract administrator will be responsible for managing head contracts and subcontracts, as well as supply chain management. Key duties include ensuring head and subcontract compliance with contractual provisions, maintaining accurate registers, understanding tender strategy, and reviewing progress claims/invoices.
Responsibilities Include
* Ensuring head and subcontract compliance with regards to contractual provisions and notice time frames
* Maintaining accurate records of procurement, commercial clarification, correspondence, variation, site instruction, extension of time claims
* Understanding tender strategy with regards to procurement/supply chain engagement
* Preparing and issuing RFQ documentation including attachments and required timeframes
* Raising purchase orders based on approved contract values
* Vendor onboarding including negotiation and execution of agreements
* Reviewing progress claims/invoices submitted by subcontractors and responding timely to payment claims/payment of invoices
* Issuing notifications against issue of revised drawings/scope of works or technical requirements
* Compiling and submitting progress claims, variations and extension of time claims
About You
To be successful in this role you will need:
* Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, commerce, law, construction management or civil engineering - ideal
* Minimum 5 years experience in similar position with civil contractor
* DIDO or FIFO experience on large scale remote infrastructure projects - essential
* Compiling quantity take-off/bills of materials for packages - desirable
* Able to understand, interpret and administer contracts and subcontracts
* Solid understanding of cost control and reporting
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy
