As a Payroll Officer overseeing Employment Hero's internal + Global Teams payroll across multiple geographies, you play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing on an international scale.
Your responsibilities include preparation of payruns, collaboration with outsourced payroll providers (for certain countries), and coordination with diverse stakeholders across different regions.
You will also be working closely with the accounting and compliance teams to ensure payroll-related journals and filings are processed accurately and in a timely manner.The ideal candidate will be someone who is a great communicator with stakeholder management experience and who has great time management skills to meet deadlines.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare payroll reports and analysis for internal + Global team employees (AU, NZ, UK), ensuring compliance with diverse international payroll regulationWorking with outsourced payroll providers (Singapore) and EORs (Malaysia) and first reviewing payruns/invoicesNavigate and understand the complexities of payroll processes across different countries and regions and resolve any issues/discrepanciesReview WFH expensesWorking with accountants to ensure payroll filings and obligations are met in a timely manner (e.g.
PAYG/PAYE, payroll tax, super, workers compensation insurance renewals, etc.
)Serve as primary point of contact for Finance with the rest of the business and external vendors in relation to all payroll mattersPrepare monthly payroll reconciliationAssist with cashflow forecasting of payroll and payroll-related expensesAssist with external auditPropose and implement process improvements that enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the global payroll review processStay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practicesOther adhoc duties as neededWhat Will You BringQualifications and Training4+ years experience in a similar roleExperience running payroll in Australia, New Zealand and UK is essential; experience running payroll in other geographical areas will be highly advantageousIntermediate to Advanced experience with Excel/Google SheetsKeyPay (Employment Hero Payroll) experience essentialAlCharacteristicsHungry, creative, enthusiastic, and data-driven with a diverse skill set to thrive in an environment of fast growth and ambiguityProven payroll experience in high volume environmentStrong planning and organisational skills with aptitude to learn and complete work within agreed deadlinesHigh level of discretion and ownershipHave strong communication and stakeholder management skills to work with various internal and external partners with varying levels of payroll/finance knowledgeAbility to work autonomously with minimal supervisionPossess excellent decision making and problem-solving skillsAbility to adapt and respond to urgent or unforeseen circumstancesExperience is important, but for us the biggest measure of success is people who can live and breathe our values.
