- Permanent Full Time
- Monday to Friday, 72.5 hours per fortnight, 9 day fortnight
- $93,453- $99,405 per annum (LGIA Stream A Level 4) + Superannuation
- Location – Rockhampton
Your new role
Do you have substantial experience undertaking payroll activities and a working knowledge of relevant legislation and guidelines relating to the payment of employees? Council is seeking a committed Senior Payroll Officer to join their highly motivated and customer focussed team.
You will oversee and administer end to end payroll processes, ensuring employees are paid correctly and in a timely manner. As a customer focussed individual, you will use your communication and interpersonal skills to build positive working relationships with your clients.

This position requires the completion of a satisfactory Criminal History Check - Police Certificate (Australia Wide Name Only Police Check).

Application Criteria
- Substantial experience in end-to-end payroll processing with a working knowledge of the relevant awards and agreements.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant work practices and policies including taxation, superannuation and Worker’s Compensation.
- Ability to use initiative and maintain a high level of accuracy and productivity whilst meeting critical deadlines.
