Nepean Hospital is a teaching hospital that provides tertiary referral services in emergency care, coronary care, diagnostics, gynaecology, paediatric, neonatal intensive care/ICU, maternity, mental health, rehabilitation, and surgery.

An exciting opportunity is available to join the Patient Enquiry team at Nepean Hospital as a part-time Receptionist.
In this frontline role you will provide face-to-face assistance to patients and visitors, offering clear information about departments and patient whereabouts, while also managing enquiry phone calls with professionalism and care.
The Patient Enquiry service plays a vital role in supporting hospital operations, including parking validations and passes, booking couriers, dispensing taxi vouchers, and assisting Official Visitors.
As a Receptionist, you will be an essential point of contact, ensuring a welcoming and efficient experience for all who engage with the service.
Service hours: 14 shifts over 4 weeks, Monday to Sunday, 7:30 am – 8:00 pm.
You will work 7 shifts of 8 hours each fortnight, equating to 14 shifts across a 4-week roster.

What you will bring to the role:
Extensive and varied clerical experience, including reception experience
Demonstrated effective customer service experience
Demonstrated excellent oral communication skills and strong interpersonal skills
Demonstrated excellent organisational and time management skills
Demonstrated experience using Windows based software including databases and experience in using MS Word and Excel
Ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team
Ability and commitment to be flexible and adaptable to change
