Senior Project & Correspondence Officer – Identified

At the NSW Department of Education, we educate and inspire lifelong learners – from early childhood, through schooling to vocational education and training.

* Located in Parramatta with flexible working arrangements available
* Clerk Grade 9/10 - $129,464 to $142,665 plus superannuation and leave loading

About the role

* Lead complex projects from plan to delivery, ensuring outcomes meet scope, budget and deadlines.
* Build strong stakeholder partnerships to influence outcomes, resolve issues and drive shared goals.
* Prepare high-quality briefs, correspondence and advice to support informed decisions and project success.

The Senior Project and Correspondence Officer manages and coordinates the development, implementation and evaluation of projects to achieve project outcomes and support the achievement of organisational objectives.

About you

* Lead complex projects from concept to delivery, balancing scope, budget, deadlines and quality outcomes.
* Build trusted relationships with stakeholders and influence outcomes through clear communication and sound negotiation.
* Prepare concise briefs, correspondence and advice that support informed decision-making.
* Analyse issues, identify risks and develop practical solutions to keep projects on track.
* Bring experience and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for Aboriginal children, families and communities in NSW.
* Knowledge of and commitment to implementing the Department's Aboriginal Education Policy and upholding the Department's Partnership Agreement with the NSW AECG and to ensure quality outcomes for Aboriginal people.

Essential requirements of the role

* This position is designated for the employment of an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person. * Experience and knowledge working in Aboriginal education.

On Thursday, 21st at 10am, the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Recruitment and Advisory team will host an online Yarn Up (information session) about this role.
