We are seeking a motivated Senior Electrical Engineer to join a critical power plant commissioning project in remote Western Australia for a 3-month contract.
Roster: 2/1 roster FIFO from Perth
Location: South Murchison (Remote Site)
Start: ASAP start - end of May 2026
Hourly rate: $700 - $800 p/d + Super depending on experience
This is a unique opportunity to work on a technically advanced infrastructure project supporting high-profile scientific and industrial initiatives.
You will play a key role in the final stages of commissioning, overseeing the operation of diesel generators (1-5MW) and the associated 11kV high-voltage network. The role involves hands-on site work, collaboration with technical teams, and delivering high-quality commissioning documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead commissioning of diesel power plants and HV networks
* Produce and review technical and safety documentation
* Assist construction and quality teams with technical queries
* Organise safety workshops and weekly reports
* Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues
Essential Skills & Experience:
* Electrical Engineering degree (or equivalent)
* 3-5 years' hands-on electrical engineering experience
* Experience with diesel generators and 11kV HV networks
* Commissioning experience essential
* Strong Microsoft Office skills (Excel focus)
* Comfortable with remote FIFO life and a proactive, hands-on approach
