NQCT collaborates with CSIRO and industry partners to develop quantum hardware and software, focusing on control and measurement of superconducting quantum circuits.
You will be part of the hardware team, working on developing quantum computing hardware with an emphasis on control and measurement. You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and the chance to grow your profile in the field.
Key Responsibilities
* Contribute to research design and proposals for NQCT.
* Provide expertise in control and measurement for end-users of NQCT.
* Maintain NQCT infrastructure, including equipment and facility management.
* Offer technical advice on superconducting quantum computing.
* Set up equipment and perform experiments focusing on control and measurement.
* Keep detailed records and ensure compliance with research protocols.
* Apply safe design principles and contribute to quality assurance activities.
* Train personnel and promote a positive facility culture.
About You
Candidates should have or be near completion of a PhD in experimental solid-state quantum computing or a related field, with an emerging research profile in circuit QED or superconducting quantum circuits.
Experience with microwave control hardware, control software, and infrastructure such as dilution refrigerators is desirable. Evidence of publications and conference presentations is also important.
Benefits
The role offers a full-time, fixed-term position for up to 3 years. The base salary is in the range $80,448.78 - $107,104.10 + 17% Superannuation (Academic Level A). The location is on the St Lucia campus.
