Job Title: Clinical Midwife Educator
Job Summary:
This is a unique opportunity to work as a Clinical Midwife Educator within a supportive multidisciplinary environment. The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating and delivering midwifery education, mentoring junior staff and new graduates, facilitating simulation training, and supporting accreditation processes.
The role plays a pivotal part in shaping best practices through policy development and staff education. Collaborating closely with the clinical leadership team and maternity managers, you will contribute to excellence in maternity care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Deliver and evaluate clinical education programs in consultation with Management, Midwifery Educators, and Clinical Midwifery Consultants, to support the delivery of clinical best practice, patient service, and enhanced patient outcomes.
* Mentor junior staff and new graduates to enhance their skills and knowledge.
* Facilitate simulation training to improve clinical skills and confidence.
* Support accreditation processes to ensure high-quality care.

Liverpool Hospital is a major health service for south-western Sydney, providing services to the local government area of Liverpool City Council as well as district services to residents and visitors in the area.
The hospital provides a range of services including emergency and trauma care, maternity, paediatric, cancer care, mental health, ambulatory care, allied health, and medical and surgical services from birth to aged care.

Requirements:
* Current Authority to Practice as a Midwife with the Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
* Relevant clinical or education post-registration qualifications or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate.
* Demonstrated understanding of competency-based assessment with experience in education/clinical teaching and developing clinical programs based on adult learning principles.
* Demonstrated ability to provide safe, compassionate quality care that is culturally responsive.
* Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
