Experienced Cafe Professional – Family-Owned Café
We are seeking an experienced Café Professional in our family-owned café. This is a hands-on position working across a rotating 7-day roster, including weekdays, weekends, school holidays and public holidays.
About the role
You will be responsible for daily café operations, supervising staff, and maintaining the highest
standards of food, coffee, and customer service. This role suits someone with strong leadership skills,
excellent attention to detail, and the ability to remain calm and professional under pressure.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily service and supervise barista, kitchen, and floor staff
Ensure all equipment is cleaned, logs are completed, and standards are maintained
Assist in food preparation and service, including safe handling and storage of food items
Manage stock control, ordering, and supplier coordination
Prepare staff rosters and manage labour costs within budget
Hire, train, and support staff performance
Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues with professionalism
Uphold high standards of food quality, presentation, and workflow
What we’re looking for
4+ years’ experience in a café
Extensive back and front of house experience
Barista experience and strong food knowledge
Food Handling Certificate (preferred)
Excellent communication and people management skills
Professional, reliable, and hands-on approach
Strong organisational and problem-solving ability
