Shift Test Engineer
to join the team This position will be located in
Stirling, Western Australia or Canberra, ACT
.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct and oversee tests related to nuclear systems, ensuring operational efficiency and compliance with safety standards.
Diagnose and resolve technical issues in coordination with engineering and operations teams.
Maintain adherence to all nuclear safety protocols and environmental regulations.
Evaluate test results, document findings, and provide technical recommendations for process improvements.
Oversee the performance of testing equipment and instrumentation, ensuring proper functionality.
Work closely with engineering teams, operators, and regulatory personnel to ensure smooth testing operations.
Prepare detailed technical reports and documentation of testing procedures and results.
Assist in training new engineers and technicians on testing protocols and safety standards.
Qualifications
9 years relevant experience with Bachelors in related field; 7 years relevant experience with Masters in related field; 4 years relevant experience with PhD or Juris Doctorate in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 13 years relevant experience.
8+ years of experience in testing, troubleshooting, or commissioning within a nuclear facility or a highly regulated industry.
Strong knowledge of nuclear power systems, test engineering principles, and safety protocols.
Proficiency in data acquisition, instrumentation, and control systems.
Ability to analyze and interpret complex technical data.
Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
Effective communication and ability to work in high-pressure environments.
Team-oriented with strong collaboration skills.
Master's degree in relevant fields.
Relevant nuclear industry certifications (such as NQA-1 or NRC qualifications).
Experience with nuclear reactors, radiation monitoring systems, fluid dynamics, and thermal hydraulics.

Salary Range
Anticipated Salary Range: $118, $165,
