Accountant - 2-Month Contract
A repituble organisation is seeking an experienced Accountant to join their finance team on a short-term contract. This is a hands-on role, ideal for someone who can quickly step in and take ownership of key month-end and reconciliation processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency during a busy period.

The role
As the Accountant, you'll be responsible for delivering accurate month-end results, reconciliations, and analysis, while supporting the wider finance function. You'll work closely with both operational and commercial teams, providing timely insights and ensuring strong financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare and post month-end journals, including accruals and prepayments
* Complete inventory reconciliations to ensure accuracy of reporting
* Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations across entities
* Assist with month-end reporting, providing commentary against budget and prior periods
* Perform balance sheet reconciliations to a high standard
* Support sales and margin analysis, highlighting key drivers of performance
* Provide accounts payable support and maintain robust financial processes
About you
* Qualified accountant, or working towards (CA/CPA or equivalent)
* Proven month-end experience in a complex environment
* Strong reconciliation and analytical skills with attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
* Collaborative team player with strong communication skills
