Mary's Hot Pizza is slinging authentic, high-quality New York City and Detroit-style pizza. We are committed to using the best ingredients and traditional techniques to create an exceptional dining experience and are seeking a passionate and experienced Pizzaiolo to join our opening team.
The Opportunity
We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Pizzaiolo to work closely with the Head Chef in managing all kitchen operations. This is a hands-on role where your expertise in different pizza styles will be crucial to our success. If you are creative, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and are excited by the challenge of launching a new brand, this is the role for you!
Key Responsibilities
* Pizza Production: Oversee and execute the preparation, cooking, and quality control of our signature NYC and Detroit style pizzas.
* Team Leadership: Assist the Head Chef in training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff.
* Kitchen Management: Manage inventory, control stock, minimise waste, and ensure efficient ordering.
* Quality & Consistency: Maintain the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and consistency across all dishes.
* Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to food safety standards, hygiene practices, and WHS regulations.
* Prep & Production: Manage daily mise en place and general food preparation for all menu items.
* Experience: Minimum 1-2 years of pizza making experience required.
