This role will be based in Abu Dhabi, working for a UAE Government Customer. Australian Citizens preferred (visa costs covered).
Performs scheduled and unscheduled aircraft maintenance tasks. Reports directly to the Supervisor for all aspects of aircraft, facility, tool and equipment, and administrative requirements.
Must be able to communicate well with others, instill a teamwork mentality, and lead by example.
Key Accountabilities
* Assist the maintenance supervisor to accomplish the company's mission.
* Perform inspection, servicing, and repair of aircraft and equipment IAW applicable technical publications and local policies and procedures. Assist in ensuring aircraft and equipment are maintained in a high state of mission readiness.
* Impart the knowledge of duties and responsibilities in such a manner (advice support and OJT training) to permit assimilation of the customer's trainees; the final aim being to enable the customer's technicians to attain gradual full capacity to carry out maintenance.
* Complete all forms, records, and documents recording aircraft maintenance activities IAW DA PAM 738-751, applicable technical publications, and local policies and procedures.
* May be requested to perform rated and/or non-rated crew member duties to facilitate completion of maintenance activities such as Maintenance Test Flights, Maintenance Operational Checks, and operation of diagnostic equipment during ground and/or flight (subject to completion of a flight physical).
* Other duties as assigned by Supervisor or Team Lead.
Specific Requirements
* FAA Airframe and Powerplant Certificate or industry equivalent. High School Diploma Graduation from military or commercial aircraft maintenance or airframe repair school or course preferred.
* Completion of military or commercial aviation corrosion prevention course preferred.
* Minimum of 5 Years Aviation Maintenance.
* Minimum of 3 Years Mechanic on aircraft type.
* Must have thorough knowledge in the use of common tools, special tools, test equipment, and aviation ground support equipment used in performing maintenance on the relevant aircraft.
* Proven technical experience on air platforms from one of the following nations - UAE, US, Australia and/or South Korea.
* Must have good knowledge of Special Operations mission requirements, equipment and maintenance programs.
* Must have strong program management background with a good understanding of contract law and terminology used in aviation contracts.
* Must have a good working knowledge of all computer applications.
* Must have strong charismatic and delegating attributes.
* Must work well with other departments.
