About the roleÂ
Start your journey with the JW Marriott Gold Coast Resort & Spa as a Demi Chef to help our passionate kitchen team to create mouth-watering food for our guests. Reporting directly to the Executive Chef, you will form a key part of a team who are responsible for providing high quality product to our luxury guests.Â

Critical responsibilities:Â Â
* Prepare fresh ingredients for cooking according to recipes/menuÂ
* Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping and storing food before use. Â
* Cook food and prepare top-quality menu items in a timely mannerÂ
* Test foods to ensure proper preparation and temperatureÂ
* Operate kitchen equipment safely and responsiblyÂ
* Ensure the proper sanitation and cleanliness of surfaces and storage containersÂ
* Delegate tasks within department and run shiftÂ

Successful Candidates will have:Â
* Experience gained from working in a similar role preferably 4-5 star Hotel kitchenâ ̄Â
* Trade qualificationÂ
* Strong food safety knowledgeÂ
* Great communication skillsâ ̄Â
* Ability to work in a team and autonomouslyâ ̄Â
* Passion for food and aspirations to grow your culinary careerâ ̄Â
